Wailuku River Millyard Streambank Stabilization

This project will stabilize the streambank along the Iao Stream. Stabilization efforts will reduce erosion during rain events so that the buildings don't fall in.

• Start Date: 7/13/26 - Projected End date: 10/5/26

• Update: As of 09/03/2026, WMC has completed the concrete key for the Wailuku River Streambank Stabilization Project. The concrete key is an integral part of the streambank slope protection system.

  WMC will now begin construction of the grouted rubble paving (GRP). The GRP will provide long-term slope and erosion protection along the streambank.

WMC will continue working carefully and efficiently as we progress through the remaining streambank stabilization improvements.
