Kihei Wastewater Pump Station No. 9 Modifications

WMC is performing modifications to Kihei Wastewater Pump Station NO. 9, resulting in a temporary closure of the roundabout on Ulua Beach Rd, along with a section of parking to be unavailable.

  • Update: As of 09/01/2026, WMC has carefully completed the majority of the necessary demolitions to Kihei Wastewater Pump Station #9. Surrounding residents and visitors should still expect noise and heavy machinery operating between the hours of 7:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. during all weekdays along with occasional Saturdays when deemed necessary. Please be prepared for night work during the week of September 21st.

  • When: At this time, WMC is estimating a completion date of 10/16/2026. We are working diligently to complete this project as quickly and safely as possible so that the public can once again enjoy the calming beauty of Ulua Beach.

  • Location: 3572 WAILEA ALANUI DR, KIHEI, HI, 96753, US, also known as Ulua Beach Rd.

  • Public Access: Public beach access will remain available throughout the duration of this project. Parking will also remain first come, first serve, with temporary parking stalls designated for handicapped drivers only.
