BEFORE SUBMISSION
Warranty Claim vs. Call for Service
To help us respond appropriately, please review the distinction between a Warranty Claim and a Call for Service before submitting your request.
Warranty Claim
A warranty claim is a request for correction of a condition that is covered under the terms of your home warranty. Covered items typically involve defects in materials, workmanship, or systems that do not perform as intended under normal use and fall within the applicable warranty period.
Examples may include:
Construction defects covered by the warranty
Malfunctioning building components due to workmanship or installation issues
Conditions specifically identified as warrantable in your warranty documents
Call for Service
A call for service is a request for assistance that may not be covered by your warranty. Service calls often involve homeowner maintenance items, normal wear and tear, adjustments, operational questions, damage caused after occupancy, or issues resulting from lack of maintenance or external factors.
Examples may include:
Routine maintenance or homeowner upkeep
Damage caused by occupants, pets, weather events, or third parties
Appliance/equipment operation questions
Normal settlement, seasonal changes, or cosmetic concerns not covered by the warranty
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Submission of a request does not automatically qualify the issue as a warrantable item. All requests will be reviewed in accordance with the terms and conditions of your warranty agreement. If an inspection determines that the reported condition is not covered by warranty, any applicable service or inspection charges may be the responsibility of the homeowner.
Warranty Form
WMC stands behind our work. Though warranty issues are uncommon, they do happen. Please let us know using the form below so we can make it right.
