Essential functions and responsibilities:
Perform thorough handoff from the estimator and set up projects in Procore, including contract, budget, SOV,
directory, and all necessary documents. Ensure the project is on schedule and on budget. Keep current on
jobsite activities. As the main representative of West Maui Construction, demonstrate high professionalism
and aptitudes toward customers. Ensure good decisions for the company throughout the project. Fully review
drawings and specifications to understand project scope. Minimize risk and liabilities to WMC by following RFI
and Submittal processes and properly documenting changes and communications between owner/GC and
West Maui Construction.

Generate, maintain, and update the following documentations and processes using Procore project
management software.

is on schedule and on budget. Keep current on jobsite activities. Assist PMs to ensure good decisions for the
company throughout the project. Fully review drawings and specifications to understand project scope.
Maintain and update the following documentations using Procore project management software. As a
representative of West Maui Construction, demonstrate high professionalism and aptitude toward customers.

Responsibilities:

1. Heavy Equipment Operation:

  • Operate a range of heavy machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and compactors, to perform various tasks on civil construction sites.
  • Safely and proficiently maneuver equipment to excavate trenches, grade land, compact soil, and move materials such as dirt, gravel, and asphalt.

2. Excavation and Earthmoving:

  • Perform excavation work to dig trenches, foundations, and utility lines according to project blueprints and specifications.
  • Ensure precise and accurate digging to avoid damage to existing infrastructure and utilities.
  • Move and distribute excavated materials as required, maintaining proper slopes and grades.

3. Grading and Site Preparation:

  • Assist in site preparation activities, including clearing vegetation, removing debris, and leveling land to prepare for construction.
  • Use heavy equipment to grade and smooth surfaces to the specified elevation and compaction requirements.
  • Operate machinery to create proper drainage and erosion control measures on the construction site.

4. Material Handling and Transportation:

  • Load, unload, and transport materials such as dirt, gravel, rocks, and construction debris using heavy equipment and trucks.
  • Coordinate with other team members to ensure timely delivery and distribution of materials to designated areas on the construction site.
  • Safely operate equipment during material handling activities to prevent accidents and damage to property or equipment.

5. Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe operating practices.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to identify any defects or issues before use.
  • Report any safety hazards or incidents to the site supervisor immediately and participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required.

Responsibilities:

1. Site Preparation and Cleanup:

  • Assist with the setup and preparation of construction sites, including clearing vegetation, removing debris, and setting up temporary fencing and signage.
  • Perform general site cleanup activities, including collecting and disposing of construction waste, sweeping and raking surfaces, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

2. Material Handling and Transportation:

  • Assist in the loading, unloading, and transportation of construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the work site.
  • Help with the placement and distribution of materials such as gravel, concrete, and asphalt using wheelbarrows, shovels, and other hand tools.

3. Assistance with Excavation and Grading:

  • Provide support to equipment operators and skilled tradespeople during excavation and grading activities, including guiding machinery, holding surveying equipment, and flagging hazards.
  • Assist with the installation of utilities, drainage systems, and other infrastructure components as directed by the supervisor.

4. Concrete Work and Formwork:

  • Assist with the preparation and installation of concrete forms, reinforcing steel, and other materials for concrete pouring.
  • Help with the mixing, pouring, and finishing of concrete, as well as the placement of expansion joints, dowels, and other accessories.

5. Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices.
  • Report any safety hazards, incidents, or near misses to the supervisor immediately and participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Material Transport and Delivery:

  • Safely operate a variety of trucks, including dump trucks, flatbeds, and other vehicles, to transport construction materials such as gravel, concrete, and equipment.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials to construction sites as scheduled.
  • Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment and secure loads to prevent shifting during transit.

Site Coordination and Communication:

  • Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other team members to understand delivery schedules and specific site requirements.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance and Repair:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and trucks, including Kenworth, Peterbilt, CAT, and John Deere machinery.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to determine the necessary repairs.
